Easy Healthy Mixed Berry Sauce/Compote
Making a simple, delicious and healthy berry sauce is only a few minutes away - thanks to the microwave! I make this sauce all the time, and it's one of the easiest 'recipes' you'll ever find. Use this delicious blend to top ice cream, yogurt, pancakes or waffles.
Easy Healthy Mixed Berry Sauce
- About 2 cups of frozen mixed berries (The kind I get usually contains strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries)
- About 2 teaspoons of honey (more or less to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a microwave safe container (I use a Pyrex measuring cup), pour in the mixed berries. Add a healthy squirt of natural honey, and mix. Microwave for 2-4 minutes, until the berries are warmed through. Add the vanilla extract and stir.

Simple 3 Ingredient Summertime Fruit Smoothie Recipe
I'm on the hunt this week for YOUR favorite fruit smoothie recipes...please send them on in. For now, here's a link to one of my favorite ones that is simple, fast to make and very healthy. For added health benefits, add a little bit of freshly ground flax seeds to the mix, or a little cold pressed flax oil.
