Paula's Favorite Angel Food Cake Recipe - Reader's Submitted Favorite Recipes
Here's a recipe that I found from a KCnM subscriber named Paula. This is her easy no-cook dessert using store bought angel food cake! Hope all of you enjoy this yummy sounding treat...
I just got around to looking at my personal emails and your site is one of my favorites.
Just wanted to let you know that for the angel food cake/pudding recipe in this edition, I have a slightly different angle to it. I think it is a little faster (no cooking at all!!)
store bought angel food cake
box of instant pistachio pudding mix
large can of crushed pineapple w/juice
two 8 oz containers of cool whip
cut cake into thirds.
Blend pudding mix, pineapple and one container of cool whip.
spread mixture onto tops of each layer of the cake. set layers one on top of the other.
spread one container of plain cool whip around sides of cake to seal.
dot top with crushed pecans and/or maraschino cherries.
Enjoy

Free Recipes: Strawberry Sparkle Cake
STRAWBERRY SPARKLE CAKE
Thanks to Jeannie for submitting the recipe!
1 angel food cake
1 cup boiling water
1 3 oz. pkg strawberry gelatin powder
1 1 lb. pkg frozen sliced strawberries
1 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons sugar
red food coloring if desired
Dissolve Jell-O in water and add frozen block of strawberries, stirring to break up. Mix. Place cake, widest side down, on a serving plate. Cut a one-inch slice from the top and set aside. Cut around cake one inch from outer edge to one inch from bottom. Then cut around cake one inch from inner edge to one inch from bottom. Gently remove the section of cake between the cuts, tearing it into small pieces. Fold pieces into strawberries mixture and pour into cake shell. Place cake layer on top. Whip cream until thick. Stir in sugar and a few drops of red food coloring. S Spread sweetened whipped cream over top and sides of cake. Refrigerate at least one hour and serve.Labels: angel food cake, easy cakes, easy desserts, jello recipes, strawberries, strawberry, whipping cream
