Hey everyone!

We got some great replies on the recent request for an Italian-style bread dipping sauce. Here are the three recipes - definitely sounds worth a try. If anyone tries it, please post a comment on it and let us know how it turned out. Now, here are the recipes...

Italian Bread Dipping Sauce - Recipe #1

"I am not sure but if this is the dipping sauce for Johnny Carrino's here is how they do it.Take minced garlic and fry it just until it is brown and crunchy (be careful to watch closely because Garlic burns quickly) take out and place on a paper towel. When you are ready to serve place a pinch of italian herbs (dried purchased in store) on a saucer and a tsp. of the fried garlic and pour fresh extra virgin olive oil over the top. It is also good if you put a little grated parmesan in the mix and I also like to put a dash of balsamic vinegar in it."

Italian Bread Dipping Sauce - Recipe #2

Herbed Bread Dipping Oil
Ingredients:
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried rosemary
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. fresh minced garlic
1 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 - 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Directions:Combine ingredients in a shallow bowl. Pour olive oil over. Serve withcrusty bread cubes for dipping.

CLASSIC ITALIAN BREAD DIP
Prep. Time: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS: 4 shakes McCormick Italian Seasoning, 2 to 3 shakes McCormick Crushed Red Pepper, 2 twists McCormick Sea Salt Grinder, 2 shakes grated Parmesan cheese, 2 tbsp's. olive oil.DIRECTIONS: Twist and shake Italian seasoning, red pepper, sea salt and Parmesan cheese onto a small plate or bowl. Pour olive oil over spices to cover and moisten. Serve as a dipping sauce with your favorite crusty bread.
