Aromatherapy Tips: Headache Relief (health and wellness)
Is there anything worse than that telltale sign that you're about to get a nasty headache? Instead of reaching for that bottle of Tylenol, try a natural approach instead with these aromatherapy techniques and tricks:
- Lavender and rosemary essential oils in a blend (in a carrier oil) are great for easing the tension in neck and shoulders that are so common with headaches
- Use the above combination of oils in a carrier oil and massage gently into neck and shoulders and even temples
- Drops of lavender oil on the temples can help reduce headache
- Chamomile and gernaium essential oils are known to help calm and release anxiety and tension. Again, this is a common cause of tension headaches, so these are lovely oils to try to help ease your headaches away.
